Hey ya.! Finally its Friday *weekend is coming.!* and its finally Raining! And and we really wish the climate remains the same tomorrow morning so that we can snuggle in our blankets without worrying that we have to reach office on time.! *woes of a software engineer*
So, you guys obviously know that the Mohenjo Daro trailer is out. While we can see mixed reactions to it, we decided to review the trailer for you guys.! So without further ado, let’s get started.!!! 😀
When we were kids, we hated history. Although we liked reading about ‘The Mughals’ and ‘Hitler’ but we hated studying about ancient civilisations. we used to mug up everything and write in the examinations and although Shikshya managed to get full marks in History*sumtyms ratta marna helps*, Shahnaz failed miserably *and sometimes ratta marna also can not help*
Contrary to that, today we are much more in love with period dramas. Be it Bajirao Mastani, Jodha Akbar or Devdas, all of them were a visual treat to our eyes. So obviously we were looking forward to Mohenjo Daro. As the trailer released,we were all ‘Bleh!’. Yes it has magnificient sets, A R Rahman’s music, beautiful actress and a star, no we are not talking about Hrithik Roshan, how are you not getting it..Its the flying crocodile. Come on, we usually don’t get to see a crocodile flying like that. No doubt, Ashutosh Gowarikar has tried to stick on to the details and facts but seeing the outrage in social media, we can say there is something wrong with his magnum opus.
The poster introducing Pooja Hegde is already in controversy as a M.Phil student called it stereotypical “exotic Orientalism”, for commercial popularity. But we would say she looked royal with exquisite elegance (minus the headgear of course). Did they really wear such clothes during those times? And from where the hell did the head-gear came from? *Sigh* But we might just ignore this as Pooja looks good and she is the only refreshing factor you can say the highlight of the movie.! We just do not understand why Hrithik Roshan was so OTT in the whole trailer. It just could not connect with us. And the background and setup. Everything was so brown. *disappointed *
And honestly, we found his look quite bland and boring. We get that he plays a role of a farmer and he will obviously not get dressed up as a king but we think, he could have experimented with his hair, his look, we don’t know.. he looks just the same as he looked in Agneepath. 😦
Hilarious tweets are doing rounds in the internet and we could not agree more. They seem more interesting than the trailer at least. And whats our favorite among them? Well it was quite difficult to choose, but we narrowed down to the following two:
And since, there was so much controversy going on these days.. be it Kangana- Hrithik fight or Nihalani- Udta Punjab fight, these tweet also kind of caught our attention:
Over all we would say, Mohenjo Daro trailer is something that no one but Hrithik Roshan’s fans will love.! Or may be some serious-crazy-OTT history lover might love but definitely not US.!
Even though the trailer was disappointing, we might still go watch the movie and might give it a chance. *We are not quite sure about this statement, as staying in bed whole day seems a more tempting option .. but we will try* We are just hoping Hrithik and Ashutosh Gowariker would surprise us in the movie.
What we liked in the trailer:
1. The villain Kabir Bedi. His presence was enough.
2. Pooja Hegde and her screen presence. Though she does not have any dialogues in the trailer but she was not lost.
3. Chemistry between Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde. *Might just save the movie*
4. The authentic depiction of the city of Mohenjo Daro.
So Mohenjo Daro releases on 12th August.! Let us know in the comments below whether you will be watching it or not. Also what are your reactions on the trailer? If you like it let us know what you liked and if you did not like it give us a virtual Hi 5.! 😉
Okay, we know its kind of childish, but if you find any other funny tweet that you liked, do not forget to share it in the comments below.! 😀
