Hello Gorgeous friends.! We know we could not post last week and we apologise for that. We assure you we would be more frequent from now on.! *pinky promise* We are back with a new post which is about “Who wore what to the Star Parivaar awards 2016.! *shoutout for all those who follow daily soaps 😉 *
Honestly, after hectic office hours all we need is some sleep.! Gone are those days when we used to be glued to TVs after school. Although, we dont follow the show, we never miss the award functions. Guilty as charged! But, who can resist dressed up pretty ladies, lots and lots of dance performance and of course all the fun by the host.! *oh yes! we are TV persons 😉 *
Star Parivaar is one of the very popular award shows in televison. The focus is all on the leading ladies of the daily soaps. In the previous years, everyone used to be dressed up in indian wear. Like all of them.! Not that we are saying that it is wrong but when lots of viewer look up to you, you should experiment a little instead of just wearing “shaadi outfits”.!!
Times have changed and now the actresses have started wearing gowns and fusion wear to the awards and we kind of LIKE..no wait… LOVE THE CHANGE.!! *screams yay*
So, here are will show you what the leading ladies wore this year and what is our reaction to it.! Lets go.!!! 😉 🙂
We love: The colour and design of the gown. The golden detailing on both the sides of her cape, the smokey eyes won our hearts. She wows us everytime she appears on red carpet.
We hate: Nothing.! *much love*
We Love: Her Hairstyle. Best among all. *heart it* ❤
We Hate: That colour of the gown is pale and the design isnt great either. she tries to come out of a fairy tale but that does not appeal to our eyes. The pearl necklace and the hairstyle manage to save the look. *too many years in the industry expectations increase*
We Love: The updo, the box clutch and all that bling.! 😀 The neckline makes her look taller and enhances her beautiful collar bones.
We hate: The length of the gown and Nude Lips makes her face look washed out *too subtle*
We Love: Keeping summer in mind, she went with a white gown and floral detailings.*kudos for that* Updo and bold eyes and minimal makeup does suit her.
We Hate: We don’t know, but something is just off about the whole look. May be the puff of the dress, oh the shiny material.. we dont know.. Its just off.! Period.
We Love: Divyanka.! She is beautiful and none can deny that. We love the kundan Accessories of course and the brooch in the saree *Personal favourite*
We Hate: The simple blue saree, the normal blouse, the regular curly hair, the not so appealing makeup and we can go on and on and on. When so many people love you and adore you and you win like 6 major awards in the evening, you dont go dressed like this.! *disappointed fan* 😥
We Love: The fresh vibrant sunshine yellow that screams summer *we are glad she tried something trendy. We love colour blocking* Braided updo and bold lips make her look simple and stylish.
We hate: She could have accessorized a little. And may be its the flash but the material of the gown is too shiny. *some inspiration from Anushka’s filmfare yellow gown could have helped*
We Love: *empty stare*
We Hate: Do we really need to comment on it? That lehenga, earrings, unkept hair, everything screams “baraati” and not red carpet! Someone remind her that its the most important award function of Television and not family wedding function *Fire your stylist*
We Love: She is one amazing fashionista and no doubt she got the most stylist sadasya award. We loved the fusion look she created using the cold shoulder blouse and a cream coloured embellished skirt. Absolutely loved the neckpiece and the ring which gave that ethenic touch to the whole outfit.
We Hate: No Complains. *We love Anita!*
We Love: The Marsala coloured floor length Anarkali. Well this is a very good example of “How to wear indian outfit and reds and still not make it look like shaadi outfits”. Her smile is the pretiest and the heavy earrings and updo made her look even more prettier. Loved the neckline of the anarkali and unlike others who chose to ditch bracelets and bangles this year, it was good to see her wear this beautiful kada. 🙂
We Hate: The draping style of the dupatta, if only she could have used it like a cape attached to the outfit, it would have taken the outfit to a whole new level.
We Love: The off shoulder light pink gown with the falre towards the end. Loose curls and those diamonds made her look elegant and droolworthy.!
We hate: Nothing. *minimal is beautiful and we likey*
Overall it was a year where smokey eyes and updos ruled the red carpet. And we have no complains regarding that cause they are our absolute favorites.
